I haven’t tried yoga before, is that OK?

Absolutely no problem at all. Dru Yoga classes are suitable all - beginners and more experienced yogis can all benefit from Dru yoga. You can make the class as soothing or as dynamic as you like. It is your yoga class.

I am not bendy - is that a problem?

Being bendy is not a prerequisite for yoga. You don’t have to be bendy or flexible to enjoy Dru yoga classes. I read somewhere “If you can breathe you can do yoga!” . There are stages to postures so that you can choose to stop when you feel you have done enough. It is your yoga practice and therefore, you work within your own capabilities.

I don’t like to wear lycra, what shall I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing - anything stretchy - that you can move and breath easily in, plus an extra layer such as a jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt. Most people wear leggings and a t-shirt. No footwear is required. You might like to bring a pair of cosy socks too for the relaxation.

What else will I need?

Currently, due to COVID restrictions everyone needs to bring your own yoga mat and you can also use this for your home practice or online classes. You may need a block and a strap (or scarf or tie is just as useful). Please also bring a cushion and a blanket for the relaxation part of the class. You will also need to bring a bottle of water with you to keep hydrated through the class.

Do I need to book in advance?

Due to COVID restrictions and limited space in classes these days you will need to book in advance to guarantee your space in the class. You can book directly via my booking system or you can contact me directly to book. I also, always ask new members to complete a health questionnaire before joining the class so that I’m aware of any health considerations in advance.

How Do I pay?

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, Bank Transfer regardless of how you book.

How do I arrange counselling?

Contact me via email or phone (you can call or text) and we will schedule an appointment.

How many counselling sessions will I need?

This will depend on you and is entirely flexible. Though I like to request that people commit to an initial 6 weeks so as to start to build the therapeutic relationship.

How long does a counselling appointment last?

A counselling appointment generally lasts for 1 hour. However, there are times when a longer appointment may be beneficial.
